So this just happened!
Startup Calgary has selected the Selfling Teen Support Foundation for the semifinals for the Startup Calgary Launch Party.
No playin’ around, let’s just get right into it, eh?
So this is clearly a big deal for us. I mean, for sure, what startup doesn’t want this kind of recognition? Who wouldn’t want this kind of opportunity?
But it’s more than that. Isn’t it? As anyone who might read this will surely know, this is an opportunity to shove issues like youth mental health, bullying, anxiety and depression, youth homelessness back into the spotlight. This is the opportunity to keep people talking about the challenges our youth face.
We may not be entirely the most chipper presentation you will hear all night, but on October 18th, we will leave the audience with some serious thoughts about what is happening with our future leaders and where there support is coming from. If they have any support to speak of. But we need to talk about these things and don’t you worry, we have one monster of a solution!
So, dear reader, dear follower, consider this an invitation to the festivities, if you are in Calgary and share our passion for teen support, then join us on the 18th of October a the Glenbow Museum and vote for Selfling to get featured at the Startup Calgary Launch Party.
Just as important, we are into week three of our ATB Alberta Boostr Campaign and we are looking to clear a little under $15,000. We have till October 17th and we need your help for that still, too! Come give us a boost, folks, and score one of our awesome rewards!
So, to all our fellow competitors, we wish you good luck. Let’s have a blast, learn lots, and change the world!
Hats off to the other startups competing in the October 18th pitch event
